There’s just something about college football season. 🏈

The rivalries. The traditions. The marching bands. The school colors EVERYWHERE. And, of course, the completely reasonable adults yelling instructions at the television as if the coach can actually hear us. 😂

College football is back in full swing, y’all—and I am HERE FOR IT!

And around here…

🤘 GO LONGHORNS!! 🧡🤍

But as much as I love the football, one of my favorite things about game day is everything that happens around the game.

It’s More Than Football

College football has a way of bringing people together.

Maybe you’re loading up the car and heading out for a full-blown tailgate. Maybe friends and family are piling into your living room. Or maybe it’s just you, your favorite people, a comfy couch, and enough snacks to feed an offensive line. 😂

That’s the fun of it.

Game day gives us an excuse to slow down, hang out, laugh, cheer, eat something delicious, and spend time together.

And THAT is what I love most.

Tailgate or Homegate? 🏈

You definitely don’t have to head to the stadium to get in on the fun.

An at-home “homegate” can be just as much fun—and you’ve got air conditioning, your own bathroom, and no fighting for a parking spot. I’m just saying… those are some pretty solid perks. 😂

Put on your team colors, invite a few friends over, turn on the game, and set out some easy finger foods.

Think dips, sliders, nachos, wings, veggies, chips, snack boards… basically anything that can be eaten while keeping one eye on the TV.

Because nobody wants to be stuck in the kitchen cooking an elaborate meal while everyone else is screaming, “TOUCHDOWN!”

Keep the Food Easy

Whether you’re tailgating at the stadium or watching from home, game-day food should be easy, shareable, and FUN.

This is not the day for fancy.

This is the day for foods you can pile onto a plate, grab with your fingers, and go back for seconds… or thirds. No judgment here. 😉

And if you can do some of the prep ahead of time? Even better.

Because the whole point is to enjoy the people you’re with—not spend four quarters in the kitchen.

This Week’s Game-Day Recipe: Air Fryer Nachos & Wings 😋

And speaking of easy game-day food…

I’m including a recipe this week that practically screams FOOTBALL SEASON: Air Fryer Nachos & Wings! 🏈🍗

I mean… come ON.

Crispy wings AND cheesy, loaded nachos?!

That’s a game-day dream team right there. 🙌

Even better, making them in the air fryer means you can get those delicious game-day favorites on the table without turning your kitchen into a full-service sports bar.

Make a batch, put everything out, let everybody dig in, and get yourself back to the game!

It’s Really About the Memories 🧡

At the end of the day, I think that’s why I love traditions like college football season.

Sure, we want our team to win.

Okay… we REALLY want our team to win. 😂

But years from now, we probably won’t remember every score.

We will remember the friends crowded around the TV…the family traditions…the food everyone fought over…and all those Saturdays spent laughing, cheering, and making memories together.

And you know me—that’s what getting into the kitchen is all about.

Good food doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it’s just about making something yummy, gathering your people, and enjoying the moment.

So grab your team shirt, fire up that air fryer, and get those nachos and wings ready.

It’s GAME TIME! 🏈🙌

And one more time for the people in the back…

🤘🧡 GO LONGHORNS!! 🧡🤘
