Labor Day Weekend Is Almost Here! 🇺🇸☀️
Can you believe Labor Day weekend is already just around the corner? It feels like we were just kicking off summer, and now we’re getting ready for that unofficial last hurrah before fall starts sneaking in. 🍂
Whether your plans include a backyard BBQ, a day by the pool, a family get-together, or absolutely NOTHING on the calendar (which honestly sounds pretty fabulous, too 😂), Labor Day weekend is a great excuse to slow down, enjoy some good food, and spend time with your favorite people.
Keep the Menu Simple
Here’s my rule for holiday weekends: Nobody wants to spend the whole day in the kitchen!
If you’re hosting, think easy foods that can be prepped ahead or served buffet-style. Burgers, grilled chicken, sandwiches, fresh fruit, pasta salads, dips, and snack boards are all perfect for feeding a crowd without making things complicated.
And if you’re heading to someone else’s gathering, offer to bring something that travels well. Bonus points if it can be made ahead so you’re not scrambling five minutes before you need to leave. Been there. 😂
Make It a Little Easier on Yourself
A little prep before the weekend can make a HUGE difference.
Wash and cut your produce ahead of time, prep your toppings, mix up dips or dressings, and get anything you can into the fridge the night before. Even 20–30 minutes of prep can mean a whole lot more relaxing when everyone arrives.
And remember—your Labor Day spread doesn’t have to look like it came straight out of a magazine. Good food + people you love = a pretty darn great gathering. ❤️
And We Can’t Forget Dessert! 😋
You KNOW I wasn’t going to leave you without something sweet!
I’m including a recipe that’s always a crowd fave: Blackberry Cheesecake Cookie Pizza! 🫐🍪
Think delicious cookie crust topped with creamy cheesecake goodness and juicy blackberries. It’s beautiful enough to bring to a party but easy enough that you don’t have to spend your entire holiday weekend baking.
And if blackberries aren’t your thing, this is also a fun recipe to play around with using other fresh berries.

One Last Summer Memory ☀️
Labor Day may mark the unofficial end of summer, but I like to think of it as one more opportunity to gather around the table.
Invite the neighbors over. Fire up the grill. Let the kids run around. Eat dessert first if you want to. 😉
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about making the perfect meal.
It’s about making mealtime memories with the people sitting around the table. ❤️
So here’s to a Labor Day weekend filled with good food, lots of laughs, a little relaxation, and hopefully a big ol’ slice of Blackberry Cheesecake Cookie Pizza!
Happy early Labor Day Weekend, friends! 🇺🇸☀️
